About Support on free community websites
Reading many online forums and reading through many community sites, I see a consistant problem. Members posting requests for support which is why we all have these sites up. However, politeness and remembering that helping others, though a passion and enjoyment for us, is not our jobs. We all have full time jobs and families that require our time. All time energy and creativity provided on webware support sites is given freely and without strings.
If you post a request for support and it takes awhile for a response to come, there could be many reasons. We are working more hours at our full time job, a family event or a real life issue that needs our attention. It will not benefit you, the supporter or the community to post over and over again, the same question in an attempt to validate the old saying “the squeaky wheel gets the grease”. This is never the case. Im most cases the squeaky wheel gets replaced to reduce future maintenance.
OK, so all that out of the way, I am excited about the new community we are trying to build. We will always answer as soon as time allows. If we need extended time to work out a fix or hack, we will make every attempt to notify you in advance so that you are not left hanging and wondering why we aren’t responding. We are here to help.
I hope everyone finds something of value on this website.
